An early cavity is one filling in one appointment. Gingivitis reverses with cleaning and follow-up. Minimal cost, minimal discomfort.
Caught late
The same cavity reaching the nerve needs root canal treatment and sometimes a crown. Advanced gum disease can cost you the tooth. More time, more money, worse prognosis.

- For many adults, once a year is reasonable. Come sooner if you have pain, swelling, bleeding gums or a broken tooth.
- Can you check my insurer’s quote?

- Do you offer appointments in other languages?

- Does a filling hurt?
- No. It is done under local anaesthetic and most patients feel only slight pressure.
- Does root canal treatment hurt?
- Under local anaesthetic, no. Root canal treatment exists precisely to remove the pain of an inflamed or infected nerve — most patients leave far more comfortable than they arrived.
- My gums bleed when I brush — is that normal?
- Common, but not normal. Bleeding usually indicates inflammation, and treated early it is reversible. Ignored for years it can progress and affect the bone.
- What happens if you find something during the check-up?
- We explain it clearly, tell you what is urgent and what can wait, and give you a written estimate. You decide, without pressure and without starting anything that same day unless you want to.
